In this episode, we are joined by Mahvish Ahmed (BSc 2006). A former economist turned content creator, Mahvish is a “mama in boots,” trotting through Europe, braving the Dutch rain, and occasionally missing trams. Now based in Rotterdam, Netherlands, she runs a popular Instagram blog focusing on women-centric topics such as challenging unsustainable social standards, claiming your space and voice, loving yourself unapologetically, seeking mental health support, conscious parenting, and the struggles of motherhood. Through her posts, she aims to break intergenerational cycles and stereotypes about what it means to be a ‘good woman.’
Inspired by the positive feedback from her audience, Mahwish wrote her debut book while savouring copious amounts of coffee in Rotterdam’s charming café’s. Although she misses her homeland, she values the growth opportunities that her expat life offers.
Mahvish holds a BSc in Economics from LUMS and an MSc in Economics from the University of Warwick. In addition to running a successful Instagram blog, she has launched a clothing line and founded a travel company.
Join us for this engaging chat with Mahvish as she shares her journey in content creation, entrepreneurship, and the success of her newly released book, On My Way, which is currently a bestseller on Amazon.
