In a moment of great pride for LUMS, this year LUMS alumni achieved the highest pass ratio in the Central Superior Services (CSS) examination. The number of candidates recommended for appointment to BPS-17 under Federal Government in various groups/services is 214, out of which 24 candidates are from LUMS.

Qualifying at the Central Superior Services (CSS) examination is the dream of many young talented Pakistani students. Thousands of candidates appear each year, but only a few are selected. In 2019, over 14,521 candidates appeared for the CSS exam from all over Pakistan, out of which only 372 were able to qualify. For the past few years, an increasing number of LUMS students and alumni are appearing for and qualifying at the competitive examination after graduation.

Uzair Ali Khan from the class of 2018 at the Suleman Dawood School of Business has achieved 3rd position overall in Pakistan and has been allocated in the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) group, whereas, Abdul Basit Siddiqui from the class of 2012 at the Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences has achieved 5th position and has also been allocated in the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) group.

The past years have seen LUMS graduates successfully join the civil service and serve in key positions in the government, contributing towards the success and development of society and the nation as a whole.
